It has happened in Ireland too I think, it led to changes in the law for fire sfety regs.

My mother was in there at the time.....she left just before the fire broke out... otherwise I may not be here.

Surely now questions will be raised in terms of safety? The Brazilians sure love to party, but after this there has to be some sort of inquiry and even then the pain of this tragedy won't be forgotten for the locals there obviously.

I'm not being funny but fireworks let off in a crowded nightclub , flares let off giving off huge volumes of acrid smoke causing an instant panic to get out. And guess what only one exit for over 500 people .... Sheer madness

Apparently the ceiling tiles started burning adding to the toxic smoke... Unbelievable

My heart goes out to those poor families.. To lose so many young lives is a National tragedy..!!!
