The Bistro sees it's busiest night ever, as the Rovers closes following electrical problems, and Jason, Paul, Karl, Tommy, and Dr. Carter go full monty.


Sunita lays unconcious in the basement of the Rovers as a fire takes hold


The Rovers is engulfed in flames


Stella is trapped in her bedroom as the fire takes hold


Eva, Gloria and Leanne are shocked to see the family buisness on fire


Stella makes it to the window


Paul holds Jason back as they wait for the real fire brigade to show


Karl sneaks into the back of the Rovers and heads upstairs to save Stella


Just as he reaches Stella, the stairway collapses


The Rovers begins to collapse under intense heat


With no exit, will Stella and Karl escape?


Sunita reaches the scorching bar


An explosion tears through the pub


Jason refuses to stand by and gets the ladders from the builders yard, but Toni and Paul insist on going in instead


Who will make it out alive?

Looks amazing. Although I would hope for Karl to die (in the context of it being a soap), I hope he has to live with his guilt, which will eventually see justice done.

I hope they make Karl like Carl King, a guy who lives on long after his crime.

I'm begining to doubt Karl is the arsonist, as you can see in the top pictures, Karl's shirt is red, and he's in the Bistro when the fire starts, the arsonist's shirt is blue

I am sure I read that the fire starts in the cellar which is surely a result of him aiming the flow from the water leak at the fuse box which causes the power cut?



However, Dev's shirt is blue...



Maybe he has a moment of madness...

I think that might have been a red herring, I really am starting to wonder if it's Dev now.

Dev does look very pensive in that photo. Who else is in the Rovers at the time? We know he understandably has issues with Karl, but why would he endanger Stella's life? Unless she says or does something that sends him into a blind rage?

Actually, I just read this interview with Shobna on Digital Spy....

"There's a point where everything's going okay with our Dev. They're going to be happily ever after, but then there's a question that Dev is inspired to ask Sunita, because Stella has put her oar in. Stella essentially says to Dev, 'Does she love you?'

Seems like they were going to get back together, and Stella puts a stop to this...

I had a thought while at work, maybe Karl does set the fire, when he thinks Stella is out of the pub, then Sunita shows up as he's setting it on fire, and he knocks her out.

Maybe Karl is too obvious, but you never know what to expect. Sometimes it is the obvious, and sometimes not. I enjoy it much better when the spoilers are being kept at bay.

Yeah, I'm glad that I'm not sure who the arsonist actually is, I mean, it could be Karl, but there's a few things that seem off if it is.

I just read that Anthony Cotton appeared on Lorraine today.

He said (with regards to the fire): "There is somebody that nobody really knows about. I think they've all been concentrating on the fact that Sunita may indeed not make it.

"But there is somebody else that doesn't make it. Somebody else carks it. It's a good thing that somebody is going to cark it and nobody really knows about it. So there's two people possibly, and then others injured and things happen. Sean's fine - phew!"

although that doesn't necessarily mean anything. It could be Karl, maybe even Dev. *prays*
