is Ronnie o Sullivan mad to quit snooker ? 02.05.13
with Ronnie i can understand, like him i rattle, i don't want your sympathy hand, on my own i can battle. he's just not happy, not taking off is the rocket, constantly feeling "crappy", no satisfaction from either pocket. ( meaning cash made from snooker in his pocket and the pocket on table.) but still a drive, its fighting beneath, he accepts nothings going to arrive, not a option to grind teeth. its not the first time, it probably wont be the final, i welcome the "housing" climb, its like "burning music" to buying "vinyl". keep busy Ronnie i plead, you was my introduction to the best game, my escape are strange poems to read, and i am sure your new adventure will open up a new frame. ( i have tried my hardest to show my poem to Ronnie first as out of respect. i would like to make clear in no way am i comparing myself to this genius. i am simply comparing my head and Ronnie head as in the fact when we get bored - we just up and go and move on. as he is doing with snooker. i just wondered is anyone else as sympathetic to Ronnie ?) |

Remembering Kerry
|
There is no doubt he is a really great and natural talent of the game, he is great to watch and when really on form is near unbeatable.
He irritates me though, his attitude to the game is really poor and his in/out of tournaments is even more annoying. When you think of another great talent as to Snooker, namely Paul Hunter, who so loved the game and was so dedicated to it that he played it even when really ill, then people like Ronnie O Sullivan come across as really ungrateful sulky individuals sometimes. |

If you have to explain the imagery in your poetry, then change your poetry.

They're all in it for the money really. He's the only one with the balls to say it outright.

How doesn't it? Some players would lose tons of fans for saying that but Ronnie fans will always be loyal. There's always ups and down but at the end of the day when he gets to the table he does the business, that's what matters.

Against All Odds

Guy has KEPT snooker afloat by HIMSELF for a solid 20 years. Let's be real up until Hearns got involved Snooker would have been dead and buried a long time ago without him. Even now he is the only player that can get Snooker on the backpage in any major Newspaper
He is the GOAT and if he decides he wants to pick and choose when he shows up the only question asked of him should be Chilled or room temperature Water Sir Ronald???

Ronnie is probably the most naturally talented player to have ever played the game so its a shame he doesn't enjoy the game that has given him fame and fortune. Perhaps he'd have preferred a dead end job but something tells me Ronnie wouldn't have liked that either.
I think his issues are psychological and I think he needs to seek help and/or take an extended break from the game. He sounds incredibly ungrateful at times.

Ive rewatched a few interviews and shows of ronnie and the worlds and I feel more sympathy
I think the idiot referee and the idiot interviewers are part of the problem, the media keep pestering him with dumb questions, he gives honest answers , then they mock him for it , hazel irvines "so are you still going to be a property developer" was a sarky inappropriate question when ronnies celebrating his amazing achievement with ronnie junior then the ref michaela tabb accuses him of a lewd gesture, what total and utter rubbish when you have that 24/7 every time he enters the building it adds up and ruins the enjoyment we just dont know how to enjoy success and leave people in peace. even today in football, a legend retires and instead of celebrating the greta mans monumental achievements, straight away its gossip about who replaces him. we have a sad culture and ronnie isnt happy like so many people and he doesnt quite understand why nor how to express it |
