Default America soon to Arm Rebals with small arms in Syria

Israeli planes bomb suspected chemical weapons site in Syria

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...#ixzz2SJ7OfBbC

"Israel launched an airstrike into Syria,
apparently targeting a suspected weapons site,
U.S. officials said Friday night.
The strike occurred overnight Thursday into Friday,
the officials told The Associated Press.
It did not appear that a chemical weapons site
was targeted, they said, and one official said
the strike appeared to have hit a warehouse."

How dare Syria acquire these weapons they have no business amassing these weapons of mass destruction ...!!!!

There's only one country in that region that can hold vast arsenals of weapons of mass destruction......

Israel will keep up these unprovoked attacks trying to get a response from Syria, at which point they'll play the victim card as always and scream for the "international community" to step in and save them. After all, why should Israel pay with cash and blood to do the job, when Nato/US forces will be made to do it for them!

The Highly trained and most moral force in the world, the IDF, only excels in the face of zero opposition and no return fire, so it makes sense for the cowards to stay safe at home, taking pot shots at Palestinian farmers and children, while the rest of us get to go and bomb, then invade, their neighbours for them.
The constant overflights of Lebanon by Israeli warplanes are a ridiculous provocation on an almost weekly basis, yet you can be sure that if the Lebanese forces actually shot one of those aircraft down, Israel would again scream that they are the good guys and in the right, even though international law says otherwise.

Clearly this is the latest attempt by Israel to widen the conflict in Syria and drag Iran into the mix. Clearly this is their real target and they are desparate to create the circumstances for air strikes on Iran.

This whole situation is poised to get much worse very quickly as the Russians and Chinese will not sit idly by and watch the western powers redraw the political/ military landscape. They will probably start selling/ supplying the S300 & S400 Anti Aircraft systems which would make it very dangerous for NATO to enforce a no fly zone.

A worrying situation for all....!!!!

Israeli foreign policy almost makes you forgive Ahmedinejad's cartographical comments about them, really.

This is Syria we're talking about here. I suppose you've read about Syria in the news recently? You know, about the genocide and stuff?

Yeah the Syrian war shouldn't be looked as at a case of the good rebels taking on the evil regime, the news today is actually that there is strong evidence of the rebels using chemical weapons: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-22424188. That's to add to the numerous other atrocities that the Rebels have committed

This is another case of reckless aggression on Isreal's part, they seem to think they have the right to just arbitrarily use military force on very flimsy justification whenever they feel like it

There are no good guys to support in Syria. The rebels are Islamic extremists that would probably want to run the government like the Taliban did in Afghanistan pre-9/11, and the Assad government is a brutal dictatorship.

You've got millions of civilians in between them. What do you do?

It's a lose/lose situation. There's really no one to support in this mess. It's gonna turn out bad for everyone whether Assad stays in power, or if the rebels win and instal an islamist government.

I think Israel blowing up a chemical weapons plant is good though, because at least it will keep people from using those chemical weapons which would be distastrous for civilians because chemical weapons would hurt civilians more than just normal gun/rocket warfare.

Heard on News today Russia has now confirmed sale of advanced Air defence missile systems including S300 and possibly upgrade to lethal S400 in near future.

Either way this a game changer and the Western powers & Israel would not be able to make incursions into Syrian airspace or invoke no fly zones without the very real possibility of losing their aircraft.

Looks like Russia has decided to help keep Assad in power in the short term at least...!!!

Then surely it's the Russians that are the bad guys? What possible idiotic reason could they have for supporting Syria? I mean, usually, the Russians are usually so level-headed and peace-loving. Aren't they.
