I'm just hoping that these words don't appear under the eye on the opening sequence, the eye is an iconic symbol of the title sequence

The underlying tone or theme should be secrets and lies but it shouldn't be in the title.

Its tacky.

Completely disagree. Think about it, non-viewers and ex-viewers who don't like the show in it's current form and don't watch enough Channel 5 to see all the adverts see from the listings or their EPGs that it's had a big enough change to the format this year to merit a subtitle and they give it a try. They see the back to basics eco-house, they learn about the big secrets twist and they see it's got a competent (and attractive) presenter again and they decide to stick with it for a bit, viewing figures increase. It doesn't have to be permanent, once it's done it's job they can either drop it or change it annually depending on that year's theme.

Doesn't really matter, it'll always be Big Brother. It's just Secrets and Lies is a subtitle. I don't see the big deal.

Finally they're mixing it up a bit and refreshing the format.

How about no? The show is called Big Brother, if they want to use Secrets and lies as a theme then okay. But don't change the name.

They should have the old school titles back with letters from "secrets and lies" flashing up but not under the eye at the end.

That doesn't necessarily mean it will be called 'Big Brother: Secrets & Lies' on the show, in TV listings etc, but taglines for previous series - such as 'The Final Send-Off' or 'Zero Tolerance' - were never referenced in press materials, so it looks like it could be different this time.

The title doesn't really bother me...

I watch Survivor, and that is a massive reality tv show, known for it's subtitles as well. People will still call it BB14.
