...awww, I really enjoyed that movie and yes, Saoirse is delightful....I love stories about that 'small town' psychology thing and the stifling and the judgemental and the family commitments/pulls versus the need for a life beyond...I can't recall her name but I loved Julie Walter's character as well...

Black Mass - It was good enough, not really the type of film I love but it was good 6/10
Saving Mr. Banks - You can never go too far wrong with Tom Hanks, very enjoyable, Emma Thompson played her part very well as well I thought 7.5/10

..A Hologram for the King...usually Tom Hanks is enough to make any movie a great watch but this just didn't quite work for me...it left me a bit flat like Eat, Pray, Love in it's journey of self discovery and didn't quite seem to hit the uplifting bit../I didn't feel the journey...Tom Hanks though and the soundtrack give it a 6-7/10-ish....

The Young Offenders - It's a film set in Cork (alot of it in Mayfield where I grew up). It's a story made up around the time that all those bails of cocaine were seized from a yacht and lots of them ended up in Cork waters and this story is about 2 15 year olds who set off to try and find a bail before the Police manage to collect them all. It was really funny 8/10

Halloween: Curse of Michael Myers - Watching them all because it's October. It's one of the better sequels in the series but that isn't saying much. 6 or 7 out of 10.

Wolf Creek 2. The movie itself isn't that great, but i love the main bad guy. He makes me laugh, bursting into song while he's got his latest victim tied up 6/10

I only really like the first Halloween movie. The sequels all steadily get worse

I agree. The original is amazing and the second one is okay but then they all dwindle in quality from there besides the seventh one when they bring Jamie Lee back but then they ruined it again with the eighth film.

The first two are brilliant, but the third one is a bit disappointing. I just don't see the point of making so many sequels

There's a new one coming out next year. But it should be good considering the guy who made the first movie is back to producing it. |

Ringu - 8/10
Being a big fan of The Ring, I've wanted to watch this for ages so I finally got round to it. I loved it, although (controversial opinion alert) I actually prefer the US remake. |

..We Need to Talk About Kevin.../a recommendation from Dezzy/thank you.....it was cold, it was empty, it was just devoid really..it didn't make you feel because it didn't feel, there was no emotion..no emotion given to the characters and no emotion felt by the characters...not really a film that can be said was enjoyed but a tremendous movie and a tremendous impact and a 9/10...

Cyber Warrior
|
My Scientology Movie with Louis Theroux
His attempt at making a documentary on the Church of Scientology, during which he came under surveillance and disruptive efforts by the church. 8/10 - Loses a couple of points for the way Louis tried to press one of the people he was working with at the wrong moment.
