They're both great films in different ways... in a modern context one major thing that separates them though is that T2 used cutting-edge effects that still (for the mostpart) pass even 30 years later... it's still an amazing looking film. I love the STYLE of the first Terminator film but the 80's effects are, unfortunately, just terrible.

I think the first one has more heart. The performances are amazing. The second one looks fantastic

It must be because I grew up watching the first one. It's the one I watched with all my family

The Master. The movie is a solid 7. But the performances easily a 10.
Joaquin phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman were both excellent!.

I like the first Terminator better also.

It's part science-fiction / romance / stalker horror, with a clever time-loop story.

The cinematography of that film is just next level. Beautiful movie to look at.

Paul Thomas Anderson really has been overlooked so much in his career as a creative genius in his field. Such an incredibly versatile filmography full of range and real expertise yet no "big awards".

Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Punch-Drunk Love, There Will Be Blood, The Master, Phantom Thread and Licorice Pizza are all just... *chef's kiss*

Even the two of his I like least - Hard Eight and Inherent Vice - are still VERY good movies.

Have you ever watched any Robert Altman films? PTA is probably the modern day Robert Altman.

I have - love Altman! Nashville is a fave, as is The Long Goodbye.

Can't forget Popeye either!

It was originally marketed as a stalker horror, really love this trailer

T2 just edges it for me, but I absolutely love both T1 and T2. Also feel Salvation is massively underrated. T3 was ok, Genisys was AWFUL, Dark Fate I'm still on the fence with, need to watch it again I think

For some reason I thought this was the thread on the Russian military action in Ukraine.

Saint Frances - that was a really really female film, brutally honest, I loved it, a must watch for the women 8.5/10

Interesting now that gavs locked down....the terror threat in ireland has been reduced for the first time in years today.
