If you see anything called snap.do that wants to be downloaded then do not download it as it's an adware virus that tries to get your bank details, and it also likes to hack your E-Mail address as well. And sometimes it can come back under a different name called Quickshare so do be careful not to download that either.



The reason I'm warning you all is because this virus has broke my Laptop and I don't want that to happen to any of yours either so please be careful.

Although, I must say I have seen no evidence to suggest that it 'tries to get your bank details' or 'hack your email' it mainly just redirects your browser forcing you to use their search engine.

Snap.do causes internet browsers to redirect to the snap.do search engine http://www.search.snap.do and other websites. Snap.do was allegedly built and designed to simplify the way people use the web (their claims). Their services can be used voluntarily, in which their product is manually downloaded and installed and the user registers and supplies information, though it can be concluded that Snap.do entraps their users to unethical terms, or without user consent, often bundled with additional software, including malware, most notably spyware applications. Snap.do bundles with many other dangerous malware applications and internet browser objects, including third-party add-ons, extensions, plug-ins, and toolbars, as well as software and files including freeware, shareware, codecs, and torrents.

Well its wrong. You may download something bundled with it that is capable of doing that, but its very very unlikely.

..oh my OH just said today that he'd had an email from Paypal, only it wasn't from Paypal..if he had clicked on it then he would have given access to his bank details...anyway, he didn't click on it and reported it....

There are so many of those paypal scams about, I get emails from nopaypal.com every single day. Sites that deal with your money such as paypal, amazon etc. will never email you asking you to click on a link or download anything, so never do it.

..yeah, he's never had one before that asked him to asked him to click on anything, so he knew it wasn't real but I can see how some people do click without thinking though...
