Ammi is far from defending him and stated clearly that the warning was rightly given.

Perhaps you could look at the thread Ammi originally made days ago as to Ron and racism and see how the issue was overall very well debated from her lead.

Few, including myself are defending the comment and also I agreed with the warning given but it hasn't altered how I think as to Ron at all.
I don't myself go out of my way to dislike/hate people, I rarely see things as just black and white myself,I see lot's of grey areas in just about all issues.

Ron strikes me as one of those people who doesn't regard anyone non-white as British.

He probably longs to harp back to an era when Uk had hardly anyone who wasn't white.

Ron probably is racist in private when he feels non of those pesky brown folk are around and regards being pulled up for it as PC gone mad.

Ron probably refers to the British doctor who treated him as " that Pakistani fellow"
