I have had the Winter Blues for as long as I can remember, and so has my Mum and I was just curious to know if anybody else had it tbh, what with it coming up to the 'winter months'.. it's a ****ing ******* that's for sure.

Nope.

I would say I'm happier in the winter, with the snow, frost, xmas new year etc.

I do know a few people that suffer from it though.

I'm okay until about January time then I get really quiet and deep in thought. I do find my best writing comers from now until the end of winter though.

probably have the SAD symptoms all year round Lol

I'm alright Nov-Dec. Loads to do in those weeks. Then Jan is all about fresh starts which lasts about a week and then it gets ultra depressing from there

Not really, do much prefer summer and start to wish it would hurry up once we get to January/February time, but I don't get really depressed about it and there are some parts of winter I do quite like as well once we get past the terrible autumn

Despite it being on the NHS site and everything, I'm not even convinced its a real thing.
'Depression' at certain times of the year is the definition apparently, yeah right. Feeling a bit down is NOT depression

It might actually be a real thing(still doubtful) but if it is, not half as many people have it as they make out tbh.

It's more of a common thing in Scandinavian countries, USA and Canada that are closer to the Arctic Circle who see very little daylight where people actually commit suicide over it. People in the UK just like to dramatise their winter blues.
