![]() A Bahraini man who faked two days' sick leave has been sentenced to five years in jail, Gulf Daily News reported. The 30-year-old was convicted of forgery after using a fake medical certificate. A male relative who helped him obtain the sick note also was sentenced to three years’ jail. The man said he wanted to extend his holiday to perform the Umra religious pilgrimage to Makkah, Saudi Arabia, but his boss had refused the leave. His relative gave him a hospital-stamped medical note, apparently obtained via a third unknown party. It appeared to have been signed by a doctor who worked at the hospital. However, the man’s suspicious boss checked with the hospital and discovered there was no record of him visiting there and the doctor who was supposed to have signed the medical certificate had no knowledge of the patient. http://www.arabianbusiness.com/bahra...ay-524596.html
