This is why I'm wary of cats they can be evil If a dog attacked a woman like that it would have been put down.

Would they put a dog down in these circumstances? It's not like the cat lost his mind and just started wildly attacking her for no reason.

She was kicking snow at it, trying to provoke it, I doubt they'd have put down a dog in that situation.

She wasn't trying to provoke it, the video says she was moving the cat away from her dog. Either she was trying to save the cat from her dog hurting it or she was defending her dog from the evil little rat.

Then why not move it by over means? Any animal might eventually attack you if you're kicking snow/sand in its bloody eyes. Got what was coming to her.

It doesn't seem to show that. The dog is in the video wagging his tail throughout, so he isn't afraid. The cat is already at a distance from the dog, so it's not necessary.

The cat's sideways stance is purely defensive, so he/she isn't trying to attack anyone, and then cats hate being wet, so kicking cold snow in his/her face is about the worst thing you could do.

If she'd have just left it alone, she'd have had absolutely no hassle at all.

Wow I didn't know we had Judy James on the forum. The video doesn't start until she's already moving it away so you can't say the cat was innocent in the whole thing.

I wasn't having a go, I was just saying what the video "seems" to show.

It's not really a major issue.

I have a vicious pet cat, she's only ever vicious to you if you don't understand her body language and know when to keep your distance. If a cat's got its back arched, ears back and it's walking sideways - don't bloody kick snow in its face, you're asking to be mauled.

This was a wild cat wasn't it?

I would have been trying to keep it away from my dog too tbqh, I probably wouldnt have kicked snow at it though.

Could have always just put a leash of her dog and walked in the other direction if she was that worried

Yeah. I just don't understand why you would provoke it by kicking snow at it; if there's a threatening feral cat preventing you from getting somewhere, just wait for it to move or find a different way to get around it. Don't... confront it!? Common sense failure there from that woman.

If it was completely wild, it's unlikely it would allow that woman to get that close to her to begin with, but we only get this vid, so who knows?
