Don't even remember if I sent any or got any when I was a child but never done it as an adult. It's such a non event to me, I've never been in a relationship over Valentine's Day so I've never treated it specially.

I despair of Valentines Day. It just a day for couples that don't really love each other to go out of their way to pretend they do and make a public display before resuming to normal life again the following day.

What an incredibly silly thing to say! Valentine's Day is a time to realise how lucky you are to be with the person you love, even if you count your blessings every day it's a time to celebrate and I think it's good for relationships. When it comes to gifts I don't believe that's important, but I have nothing against exchanging gifts or cards, is it really fake or showing off to give the person you love a card expressing your appreciation of them? Anyway, it's fun to do cheesy stuff sometimes.
