Default Driving lessons!

I just had my first driving lesson today! I was very nervous and it felt weird being behind the wheel! I just felt like I'm never going to get the hang of it, is that normal?

What is everyone else's experience of driving like? Are you currently taking lessons?, are you already driving or is driving not for you?

you will get there!, its going to be unnatural at first, there is a lot to think about when you first start to learn.

Yeah very normal, my first couple of lessons I didn't know how people were able to do this and remember so many things at once so easily, now it's all just second nature. Driving is great once you really get the hang of it and you pass your test, gives you so much more freedom

yeah it feels like a lot to take in at first trying to coordinate hands and feet, but soon it becomes second nature.

Before long it'll be second nature to you, then once you have it it never leaves you - like riding a bike!

Good luck, here's to a speedy process (no pun intended :P)

..yeah, you do think at first as if you're never going to get the hang of it, it all feels really weird but then it will all just 'click' into place for you and won't seem so complicated, Andy..good luck with your driving lessons...exciting......

hi andy - totally normal to feel like this. as your first time its got to be expected - what i would say is - have as many lessons as you can and have them close together - i no its expensive but the benefit is you get more familiar and it keeps it fresh in your head and it becomes like walking.

it is alot to take in but like i say above - the more you do it - it will come natural to you.

good luck mate.

Yeah driving is great! One day it'll literally just click and you'll wonder how you ever found it difficult!

I know how you feel, I being trying to pass my driving lesson for years, it's cost to much, So, I stooped. when I was 27 years old.

I had not a lesson for almost 3 years, I did not enjoy it at all , I don't mind transport, it may be coast at times but you can relax and read a book!

I need to start all over again! soon, well this year need to pass theory test, I passed it before!

i did drive my instructor round the bend and i wrote him endless poems about driving - as for the driving test - i think the examiner just wanted shot of me as i was on one that day.

my driving instructor had killer tits

it was a bad distraction. By lesson 12 my right arm was pumped like a lie low on Mercury

I cant understand people who don't drive. Mind driving makes me lazy I live about half a mile away from asda yet I still use the car, I do walk about 7 miles day anyway like with the dogs.

I never thought I would like driving - I didn't want to learn but my parents got me lessons for my 17th birthday and it led to nothing, my instructor was awful, he used to smoke while I was driving and was a total cowboy, just taking money and not helping me at all... so didn't try again for years and then when I was 20 I started learning again and passed first time
