Default Watched bb6 final today :(

For the last six weeks I have been watching bb6 for the first time and it is certainly my favorite one not saying much since I have only watched bb12 and 14 in full (started in the c5 era).

The housemates selection is so much better than c5, more variety people from different backgrounds, ehtnicities, lifestyles (science-homeless, derek-posh, kemal-trans) not just a bunch of 20s and 30 who have all shagged 50 people in one night. The enigma that is Makosi. I really liked Saskia aswell if shed of stayed longer.

The production for the final was so much better and slick whereas c5 rushes to get everything in and seems to try and get it over as quick as possible so the next celeb edition can wash our memories of the civilians out of our mind.

I just loved the creativity, where is channel5s creativity? i.e the tv set behind the bathroom mirror, telling them two lies, putting makosi in a cage, the secret garden, the gnomes with the light up eyes. You can just tell so much love and care has been put into each series unlike c5 who repeat the same tasks over and over (the therapy task, stop the clock task, face to face noms, whats my secret, talent shows).

The freedom of speech that would easily be labelled now as 'racism' 'homophobia' 'sexism' etc

I can certainly see why it is so highly rated on here and the sad thing is Channel 5 could make such better series if they just casted better people forget about whisles, bells and all of the secret rooms and twists.

Craig
Makosi
Vanessa
Derek
Kemal
Mary
Kinga

Gonna sound odd but I like the way Eugene speaks and his mannerisms the way he twist and jerks...twerks his body when he speaks

Only downfalls: winner, not putting in Kinga earlier or in place of Eugene

Series summed up: fun+perfect ferfect

Roberto was a supply teacher at my high school for a few months in like 2006/2007. He was always mithered with questions about Big Brother.

BB6 is my favourite Big Brother as well, but the final two was always a let down for me as I've always thought that one of Science, Makosi, Kemal, or Derek should've won the series imo.

Even If I didn't like the final I literally cried seeing Anthony best bits and the best bits of the whole edition.I didn't watch it but this is gonna be one of my favourite even if I disliked almost everyone.

It became my favourite series after it showed the first time in the UK. I loved BB1, BB3 and BB5, but BB6 literally blew them all out of the water and I was hooked for the entire summer. The house itself was great. Davina, Dermot and Russell were all on top form all series.

The tasks were probably the best I can recall. The hospital task, the box challenge, the pirate task, the workhouse task, the holiday camp task, Romeo and Juliet, the Big Brother Olympics, the Big Brother rodeo, plus more I've probably missed out. They were just terrible at them.

The housemates were all brilliant individually and fantastically chosen. For example, they threw in Lesley, an overweight girl who's brash confidence thinly veiled her insecurities, with a bunch of stunners like Sam, Saskia, Makosi, etc. It was asking for trouble. You had big, opinionated characters with strong personalities like Derek, Roberto, Science, Kemal, Makosi, Maxwell and Saskia who were obviously going to clash eventually.

I think Craig is criminally underrated actually. Aside from the fact he was genuinely funny and came out with some great one liners, he was also unintentionally funny and one of the most emotional and hormonal housemates I can recall.

I know it isn't a popular opinion, but Anthony was my favourite housemate and I'm glad he won. Big Brother has always been a bit of a "freak show" with the sad stories (Nadia, Pete, etc) usually winning, so it was good for just a nice, genuine guy to win for a change.

I too just finished BB6 for the first time. Utterly brilliant. It may have become my new favourite series. Can't decide if i prefer it to BB5 but it certainly sustained itself to the end better than any other series I've seen.

Can't decide whether to finish BB2 next or go onto BB9.

I find it hard to fathom people who haven't watched BB7 yet

You haven't lived until you've watched BB7

Oh I have! I've now seen BB1, BB5-8 and watched since BB15.

I prefer BB5 and BB6 to BB7. And I don't think BB8's much worse than BB7 - I think it's underrated. I think the tasks weren't as good in BB7 as the series it followed and there were also too many dead woods HMs. Also the series draaaagged towards the end - worse than BB8 IMO.

One thing I don't understand on here is Makosi's popularity! She was hilarious but certainly not winner material...

Makosi should have been in the final. She made that series.

Makosi was in the final and should have been. But she was such an attention-seeking drama queen and so two-faced to Orlaith and Kemal.
