they sing for 2 minutes if were lucky , theres way more chat than singing now, which imho is a flaw and sees the voice step nearer to the x factor
it also encourages singers to rush through the song and go ott to try and command some attention |

Because you're watching a TV show. Listen to some music instead.

Well the acts sing even less on X factor to be fair.
Somehow even on The Voice, the songs doen't come across so savagely chopped up as they do on X Factor for some reason. The only bit I thought was a waste of time and rather silly tonight was when they asked the judges who they thought of thei 2 acts should go through before the lines were closed. What a really ridiculous thing to ask. |

I think thr public need to realise more that there are thousands upon thousands of people in the UK who can sing and have a good voice - its not a rarity or a particular talent as such. What the X Faxtor is looking for is just that, someone who has something that you cant put your finger on that sets them aside from others.
The Best example would be say Robbie Williams. Alexandra Burke was a great singer but did not have any x factor Ollie Murs does have it The baying plebs in the audience should be told this each audition So far the Voice fails because they are looking for the wrong thing ultimately |

yeah and they only get 100 seconds to sing
as for those x factor people Ive never ever even come within a mile of considering to buy anything from any of their shows as for robbie yes good example, hes basically a show off and has a certain type of humour on stage he has written some reasonable catchy tunes, his voice is cheesey but ust good enough to pull it off hes also a pretty decent dancer, if that interests anyone (not me I HATE the r rehearsed dance moves in music it kills all spontaneity) id rather see jagger strut , bob dylan blow his mouth organ, liam stare into space or freedie murcery play with his mike stand or keith richards tap his ecig ultimately the voice is a zillion miles away the most important thing....it doens need to be perfect, but it needs to be tuneful and full of timber Last edited by the truth; 31-03-2014 at 11:40 AM. |
