Quand il pleut, il pleut

..this was said on BBOTs last night that none of the housemates really listen to what another person has to say because they just want to say what they want to say and actually when I think about it, I think I agree with this...I'm not sure I've seen many or any real 'listening/speaking' conversations but obviously it's more noticeable with Toya just because of her way of raising her voice over people...what are your thoughts..?..

I agree, they don't listen to each other!
They all cut each other off mid sentence, each person thinking what they have to say is more important, the only one who doesn't do this is Chris, you could have a real conversation with him and know he's listening. It's the same on BOTS though, Emma cuts people off mid sentence to add her thoughts, i find it soooo annoying because she asks a question, the other person is halfway through answering it and getting to a really valid point and then she asks another question, or changes housemate, or adds her bit...i'm like.....'shut up!' I think it;s more noticeable with Toya as she is louder but I have noticed they all do it too.

Pauline was pretty bad for not listening and talking over people - "i'm not a discusser - i'm a statementer" !
But Toya is even worse. When her gander is up - she shuts down her ears and just hits the 'broadcast' button and she sprays out the same old rehearsed lines about 'true colours', 'respect' etc - no matter what the argument is about or who she is arguing with. |

Wasn't one of the reasons Danielle and a couple of other housemates distanced themselves from the group in the first week? Because they always spoke over each other in group discussions.

The ironic thing is that the Gladiator lady sided with Toya. She said that Toya was right in that the housemates don't listen to each other. She was talking about when Toya, Kim and Jale were having a conversation about Christopher on the first week.
Can't find the gif. |
