I'll actually be curious to hear your thoughts on the merge episode because I personally found it to be abysmal but of course Reddit ate that **** up like nothing. It's even more baffling because this season we got an actually great merge episode.

Hmm, I don't tend to enjoy endgames regardless, especially in modern-day Survivor. Knowing how this season plays out, though, I'm expecting it to be extra-awful. Time will tell, I guess.

I remember reading the thread during that episode. I'm curious myself.

It's not good good, but definitely watchable and enough is happening that I'm at least interested. It's at the top of my yellow-tier in my season ranking.

Dare I say I'm actually starting to enjoy the Chris/Domenick dynamic right now. Perhaps, because I'm growing to like Chris more and more, and in some alternative universe he will conquer Domenick and we'll be rid of him and his silly idols/advantages.

Also, is there something in the air at Ghost Island that turns people so emotional? (lol, I know it's basically production prodding them with a 'cry about your life and how much you've grown and how that relates to the game' stick). Like, both Chris and Kellyn's moments were nice, but it was all laid on a bit too thick for me?

I'm not mad about Brendan leaving. There was something so irritating about how the original Malolo 4 felt that Bradley deserved to leave before them. The pity party was too much.

In terms of the season's quality, I'd still say it's mediocre. The past two episode have been somewhat enjoyable, but I'm still finding it difficult to find a favourite. Jenna has potential, but I haven't seen enough of her yet. Sebastien is also quite adorkable. I think Chris is my favourite by default, and that's probably more to do with circumstance than anything.

So yeah, Ghost Island isn't too bad so far. It definitely helps that there's no one really terrible suffocating the edit. If this season had a Russell or a Phillip it would be in the red territory of my season ranking. The general pleasantness of everyone so far is making it perfectly watchable.

Bradley is a tad overrated on the forum (srry Macie </3). I get the appeal but his voice and lack of lips are annoying. Stephanie was fine, but I feel like her story-arc became too much of a pity party to endure. I'm really liking Jenna, simply because I can relate to the RBF condition she explained so well

Oh, and her relationship with Sebastien is super-cute. I feel like there's been a lot of random support for couples who really did nothing for me (Figgy and Taylor, Jessica and Cole, etc.), but I can totally get behind Sebastian and Jenna

I think my favourites so far are Chris and Donathan.

I think the Bradley hype raised my expectations a bit too high because I get why people would like him, but in reality, he's a mediocre personality in a season that's desperate for them.

Chris is meeting the hype, however.

The pleasant surprise of that episode was Domenick being bearable, even enjoyable, dare I say. His burning hatred of Chris is unironically resembling a high-school teen who is jealous of the popular girl

calling Bradley 'babe' throughout the immunity challenge

his reaction to Libby almost breaking her face

The insistence of Libby being Parvati 2.0/The Devil in an Angels Body...not so cute.

I feel like I should be complaining that there's another tribe swap, but I don't actually mind that they've been split into three tribes. It's freshened up the dynamics and it was a good way to have Angela back on the show. Queen of evoking emotion when she hasn't even been sent to Ghost Island.

James was sweet. He's probably my favourite from all of the payers who have been voted off so far, purely by default because the others either sucked or were boring (or were both). His blindside reaction (which was totally aimed at Michael

) was pretty hilarious, and he was an essential casualty if it meant we get to see Desiree scream at people some more.

idk, Ghost Island is actually quite alright so far. I'm just waiting for it to fall off a cliff.
