I don't understand the nature of the thread. You're saying Channel 5 shouldn't be allowed to show programmes about crime and arrests? You understand that a large chunk of our television viewing is made up of crime programmes. Dramas, documentaries, factual... We get Crimewatch, Police Interceptors, Countdown to Murder etc and then a lot of your drama programmes revolve around crime. It's a long list so...

Not sure what you mean really, loads of channels do this whether it's a 'Cops' sort of show, something like Crimewatch or even the news

Then, yes they should be shown. They raise public awareness of criminal activity that we might not know about.

if they've got the appropriate permissions, I don't see why not
I have no real interest in shows like Cops/documentaries about true crime though.
