Hopkins came across as cruel, overbearing, insensitive with no human empathy or understanding of others. It is all about her - she is right, end of story. The LW panel were practically speechless at her bare faced lack of decency or morals and I suspect felt too sickened to even care about arguing with her.
Personally, I know how they feel just reading some of the responses here, like she was 'brill' - and that her 'fans' have not condemned outright the lack of an apology from her to Colleen for mocking her sisters cancer.
The lack of humanity and empathy by some just gets worse every year, it's like people who were once okay human beings are getting immune to cruelty and unkindness and think it's smart to clap hatefulness. I don't know how the decent people left here can keep their temper in check to avoid infractions - I applaud them.
For myself, I don't care as I rarely come here now.

Colleen was driving her own agenda, she completely undermined hers and the rest of the panels credibility, they were intent on berating Hopkins for past crimes and allowed that to get in the way of their supposed professionalism. They had a chance to put the squeeze on the horrid bint and blew it.
