Remembering Kerry

I am of Scottish ancestry on my Dad's side.
I love everything about Scotland and its culture.I love the Scots, they are some of the most friendly people you could hope to come across, the country itself is stunning and beautiful. I love the bagpipes, brilliant marching music but I just really get carried away by it. Love the tartans and its history, Mary Queen of Scots is my historical heroine. I love the Castles, Palaces and breathtaking scenery It is a NationI get to rarely but always fall more in love with everytime I go there. So I couldn't be more opposite to the op,the Scots to me are a proud people with every right to be too as to theri country and its traditions and culture.. I really hope to live there one day. Never been to Scotland but i hear it's really beautiful.
I don't like bagpipes though, the sound makes me frown Idek what haggis is lmao & It annoys me when Scottish people constantly go on about how Scottish they are If someone is born in London and lived in London their whole life, but most of their family comes from Scotland, does that make them Scottish or English? Serious question |

the only thing that irritates me about scotland when I go there is how OTT and defensive people are about 'scotland'. a lot of them were really nasty to me when they found out I lived in England and had an english accent. When we were younger, my sisters went to a fun group for teenagers and a boy even tried to pull her pants down because she was english :/ I have never, ever in all my life heard an English person say anything remotely nasty to a Scottish person about them being Scottish, so I don't understand what the big issue is.

I've only ever met I think 4 Scottish people. One being a lovely lady married to my Uncle, she's honestly such a nice person, the type who would go out of her way to help people and she is so sweet to me and always makes an effort even though my Uncle doesn't.
The other 3 have been quite angry and one was a teacher in my school who got fired for spitting on a year 7 :/

I'm fairly uncultured to be honest. I don't wear kilts, eat haggis or play the bagpipes.
Also, I hate everyone equally, not just English people.. |
