Default Would you like to see another May launch next year?

I would like to see another May launch but a bit later on, as BB16 launch felt like a a bit like a Winter launch.
I think maybe a Tuesday 24th May 2016 launch.

And then a Thursday 28th August finale (67 days)

With a 4 week break for CBB18 launching on Wednesday 24th August.

Yeah, but late May. And with a lot more promotion.

Late May would be better. I like to have Big Brother on throughout the summer, but it finished so early this year it's really thrown me off.

Yes but not as early as it was this time. I was excited at the prospect of the earliest launch ever (at least I think it was?) but since they've robbed us of our extra 3 weeks on C5 (even 4 this time) it means it doesn't run into August and that for me is just weird.

I feel quite lost now this series is over and we're barely into summer, it doesn't feel right. So either extend the series or start it in the last weeks of May as some of the C4 launches used to be. As long as it finishes in August it's fine.

I also think the month early launch along with the ridiculous lack of promotion is partly to blame for why this series did so badly. The production didn't help but when you start with barely no basis to build on you're not helping yourself.

I´m not sure if i want to see tbh. I mean how lower can they go anymore in terms of producing a bad series?

Seeing how bad BB16 was, i tread to to see how much worse BB17 can be.

But i rather have a May launch instead of a June/July. At least it gives you the assumption that it ends sooner.

i prefer May - In mid summer its so hot and its difficult to concentrate on BB you want to go out etc - I think Spring is best. I liked that it started earlier in the year a good deal.

The last week of May, then we still get a one week gap between BB and CBB without BB feeling like it ended too early.

A Late-May launch would be ideal. A 12th May launch was too early this year, and had zilch promotion. I'm also not a massive fan of Tuesday launches, either. I think Wednesday-Friday is fine. But Tuesday just seems to early in the week for a launch. Even Wednesday is cutting it on edge.

I think this would be good:

BB17 Launch - Wednesday 25th May 2016
BB17 Final - Friday 5th August 2016
Duration = 73 Days (10 Weeks)
________________________________________

CBB18 Launch - Thursday 18th August 2016
CBB18 Final - Friday 16th September 2016
Duration = 30 Days (4 Weeks)

That way BB17 ends right when the Olympics start. And CBB will only run through the Olympics, for the first 3 days. Although, having the final of BB17 on the same night as the Olympic opening ceremony won't be good for ratings, but oh well.

Next year will we really have had more CBB's than BB's?

That's crazy.

Basically what most people are saying, a late May launch would be perfect. 12th May this year was way too early and now summer's not the same without BB. Also, i'd like to see Channel 5 do a 13 week series, wasn't BB13 supposed to be that length?

I agree, late May launch, for 10 weeks - let it run to the very end of July. Then a 2 week break until a 4 week CBB.

Won't BB17 be better airing at a different time of the year in 2016? I mean Euro 2016 is between 10 June – 10 July 2016 and the Olympics are from 5-21 August.

A more realistic and better timetable for BBUK 2016 could be

CBB17 Launch - Tuesday 5 January 2016
CBB17 Final - Thursday 4 February 2016
Duration - 31 Days

CBB18 Launch - Monday 11 July 2016
CBB18 Final - Thursay 4 August 2016
Duration - 25 Days

BB17 Launch - Tuesday 23 August 2016
BB17 Final - Friday 28 October 2016 OR Friday 4 November 2016
Duration - 67/74 Days

Then a 2 month break ready for CBB19 in January 2017.

Imo, I think it'd be better for the show to have CBB BEFORE the main one. Around in June, that gives them both a six month gap. Then BB can start immediantly after cuz cbb usually ends on a high. Perhaps not next year though, as it would be convinient to have CBB after the olympics so they can get 1 or 2 olympians to do the show.
