Default Are you glad there was a break between this and BB16?

I've never had an issue with summer CBB (but how can you after 2/5 good civilian series), and I think the month gap between the two has helped it feel a bit more fresh (what with it having an entirely new theme). I would have enjoyed it regardless, but the break between the two has given it a bit more of an appeal.

Yes.

I actually feel this CBB is its own show, whereas with CBB10/12/14, I usually associate with the civilain series they followed. I think it's because the gap was long and it doesn't really feel like BB16 at all (which is a good thing). I think the fact we also have a new eye, theme, house, and graphics for this series helps as well. The only negative I would say is that the gap was way too long. A 3/4 week gap would've been fine, there really was no need for a 6 week gap at all.

I hope next year it launches BB launches late May, finishes early August - 8/9 weeks, 10 weeks is too long nowadays.

And theres a 3/4 week break, and CBB launches late August.

BB17 launch: Thursday 26th May
BB17 final: Thursday 28th July (65 days long)
CBB18 launch: Thursday 25th August
CBB18 final: Thursday 22nd September final

Next year should work like this:

CBB17 Launch - Wednesday 6th January 2016
CBB17 Final - Friday 5th February 2016
Duration = 31 Days

BB17 Launch - Wednesday 25th May 2016
BB17 Final - Friday 5th August 2016
Duration = 73 Days (10 Weeks)

CBB18 Launch - Thursday 18th August 2016
CBB18 Final - Friday 16th September 2016
Duration = 30 Days

I dont want 73 days of BB, unless it's an iconic series. Apart from that it works really well.

Well, I can't predict the future can I? But again knowing C5 it will probably suck. But then again, BB15 was the longest C5 series

TBH, I think 10 weeks is the perfect length for any BB series, regardless how good or bad it is. I mean I was annoyed they cut BB16 a week short because even though I didn't like it, it just looked messy with it being 66 days ending on a Thursday.

Meh, I think 10 weeks is outdated tbh, no show is on every single night for 10 weeks, maybe 10 weeks but no episode on Saturday.

Not fussed tbh, I wouldn't have minded it being on straight after but I'm sort of happy about the break

Well it is Big Brother, bare in mind.

I mean we used to have 13 week series' like 8 years ago. And it was originally meant to be the same on C5, but instead brought summer CBB so the civ series had to be cut short to make way for it.

13 weeks would be good but not every night, it would be overkill.

I'm hoping by then summer CBB will be have been rightfully axed because the thought of being on CBB19/20 in two years time is vile. If so, maybe extend the Civvy series to 12 weeks (I have a feeling BB18 will be good). So possibly Thursday 1st June till Friday 25th August for BB?
