Not a chance, however this will be 'the' real test of Corbyn's leadership as to what real voters feel about him.

A good win and it will be a further feather in his cap.
He 'has' to win this however, anything less than good win will go bad for him.

Looking forward to it, the first sort of barometer since the general election, although by-elections now give no real insight as to what is the political temperature really now.

Its all dependant on the Asians vote or not. If they don't vote in Royton South then UKIP will probably slide in. I think Oldham will fall to UKIP because of its naive working class population who seem to think Farage is a working class sort of guy...probably because he drinks beer with the lads!!

I can't see the seat being lost but really if this is a narrow win, anything worse than half the majority in May, then tensions will rise in Labour.
I would be very concerned if the majority is anything less than around 6,000.

By-elections are now poor guides electorally due to poor turnout and tactical voting at times too, but this is a seat where Labour must do well, and as the Opposition, should be doing extraordinary well in a single by-election scenario of such a safe seat.

Bad day to hold this in my opinion too, it would have been better to have held this in the New Year.

intruth, the labour party must admit that they can no longer depend on the white working class vote like before, and they can no longer hide the fact that their, is a big racial divide problem in oldham, labour will hold on to oldham, but what really has them worried is, that they will lose a large percentage to ukip, in council seats, inturn that means, the days of a one party ruling state in oldham are over, new marxist labour policies, just don't have any relevance to the working class, because many in the party want an open door policy, and also to flood the country with refugees, how can they get votes from white english working class, if they say that they are the peoples party, it puts a question into what reality do they understand, you can't get votes by making them nothing more than mugs to idiots, and to take them for granted, but that sort of thing is at a near end because people have caught on in how they trick you for a vote.

A late night with Andrew is on the cards then, better get the Blue Nun ready.

Hard to say what will happen really, could be close with UKIP, unless the Asian community turn out.
Wild windy wet weather won't help. People would rather stay warm and cosy unless they are really interested.

I shall be joining you in that Smudgie

Expect this will be a comfortable hold for Labour but will be interesting to see how much their majority is reduced

What the heck is Paul Nuttall on about right now, whinging about Labour picking up votes from the Asian community and mass postal voting sure is making Ukip looking a complete joke once again

he is implying vote fixing ... what a bad loser

The advert pretending to be labour produced by UKIP is well dodgy too

Paul Nuttall is a sore loser.

People will vote for who they deem right for them, postal vote of not.
It sounds like the local Labour fella is well liked and works hard for them, I would vote for him if I lived there.
