The two areas will flow almost continuously as one great park

The Yorkshire Dales to be increased by 23% and the Lake District, 3%

Campaigners say it will correct a bureaucratic bungle made 60 years ago

Ministers hope expanding the parks will boost tourism and bring in £4bn

For some of us up here they already flow into one.
Some of the little villages have changed counties before and it can be quite confusing.
Officially in North Yorkshire,but villages full of Cumbrian style houses in a Lancs postcode.
