It has been sensationally claimed to day that Cristiano Ronaldo is in a secret relationship with his freind Badr Hari and flies to morrocco to see him 3/4 times a week.

It comes months after splitting from Irina Shayk after 5 years together amid rumours he cheated on her with another women.

Obviously stories like this are never productive and it just becomes a bit of a witch hunt for something that is incredibly private, but it's been said and rumoured about him for years now so I wouldn't be terribly surprised.

I am almost certain he's gay, but it makes no odds to me if he likes some man sausage. For me that Irina Shyak was a paid "beard" (woman utilised by a gay man to pretend hetero relationship).

His image, CR7 brand is too lucrative and global for him to come out gay or bi. Cristiano Ronaldo's appeal is that he has it all, not just the the talent, but the looks, the lifestyle, the women and the charimsa and personality. Messi IMHO is better player, but Ronaldo's is way way more marketable as he has more going for him outside of the game. Men want to be him, he's aspirational. Looks are now important, Ribery is a great player but will never make as much endorsement money as CR7 he doesn't have the looks or charisma. Angel DiMaria reportedly left Real Madrid not just for footballing reasons but also as he wasn't selling enough shirts in middle East and Asia due to his "homely" looks.

Obviously football talent is of prime importance to Real Madrid but there the Galacticos image is about having "sexy" appealing players with charimsa and looks and star power. Beckham was not a great player, talented at crossing and freekicks but not trueky great. Yet he put bums on seats and generated media coverage when at Madrid neededto further enhance the clubs global appeal.

How many good players have charm and are funny? Plus CR7 speaks English (better than Rooney).

He has fans in lucrative markets like Middle east, Eastern Europe and Africa which would be horrified and disgusted if he were gay, came out. Would fans buy his shirts in China, Russia, Nigeria or Bahrain if he were gay? No, they would burn them. And not buy into him. Ronaldos isn't just a player he's a business empire. He's just launched a global range of CR7 hotels. Hotels!

CR7 or whatever he calls himself is one of the greatest players of all time (imo position for position behind Pele, Messi, Maradonna, Zidaine, and goalie Gordan Banks and defenders Canavaro, and Maldini)

A lot of fans want to disbelieve the possibility that he's gay as he's their hero , they worship him, respect him and they secretly refuse to accept their hero can be gay or that a decent player is gay , let alone one of the best players of all time. For many of these fans a gay man is an abhoration , so a gay player is just beyond the pale.

Irana Shyak was a nobody model pre Ronaldo, now she has landed movie roles, Vogue covers and US fame. So dating or pretending to date a gay star benefits the beard/female too. Straight male fans never get suspicious of this bearding arrangmenet as they find the beard/female hot they can't conceive of a man not wanting to bed the beard/ Irina Shyak.

Maybe a young Ronaldo was confused about his sexuality, maybe he's bi but seems to becoming more into men, who knows but I can't see him settling down with a woman.

Not that this means that he's gay/bi but when you see photographs of him holidaying on yachts with hunky men, getting a bit too intimate with hunky guys for a straight man; the enigma of the mother of his child it becomes a bit hard to believe he's heterosexual.

I don't believe the story that he is a stud who impregnated a US waitress at all. I think he is a gay guy who is paternal, broody, desperately wanted a child and paid a surrogate but could not reveal this as it would seem weird for a single guy, then there's the partying with out gay ex *NSYNC boybander Lance Bass, random hanging out with bi Cara Delevigne at F1 events, getting linked to Kendall Jenner who is rumoured to be a lesbian herself, the revelation that he flies 3x week to Morocco to be with "mate" Badr Hari, rumours that he is having another surrogate child , his statement about supporting gay marriage in Portugal (I think the law was changed there for him, as he's so well loved, despite Portugal being a socially conservative, Catholic country), also the fact that no wannabe WAG has fully got her claws into him, he's one of the best looking , richest , high profile players of all time and not one woman has ever been able to make him stick around for a wedding or at least a baby. Plus there's that bizarre clip of CR7 during his first season at Man United where he's almost flirting and coquettishly touching a very uncomfortable Wayne Rooney. It's almost as if Rooney knows the score and is putting up with Ronaldo as he was such an emerging talent.
