Default Evil Isis : 12 years old. They raped her without mercy .

['The saddest thing I remember
was this little girl, 12 years old.
They raped her without mercy': Dressed
in traditional wedding gowns,
Yazidi sex slaves relive their
torture by ISIS
Women who were captured by ISIS
and escaped tell their stories
These Yazidi women were held
for months, raped and tortured
Most survived around seven to ten months
in ISIS hands ]

Savages.

It's highlights the fact that, regardless what some people are desperate to believe, this is not a war against Islam. From what I know of the Quran it doesn't justify such monstrous acts. Isis are monsters that are using the excuse of Islam for control, nothing more, nothing less.

It doesn't matter what they call themselves, they don't abide by the Quran. They only use the bits that they can use for their own agenda. There's certainly no justification for trading sex slaves in the Quran, nor is there justification for the murder of children and most of the other atrocities committed by IS.

Well yeah you're right that's the politically correct perspective. doesn't mean it's the truth.

Are you going to elaborate on this point or just continue to say "That's wrong" with no explanation?

I've haven't said anything's wrong. But in a thread about a girl being brutally raped one of the first post was to speak in defence of Muslims and tell us that ISIS has nothing to do with Islam.

What other perspective is there? The Quran dictates what it means to be Muslim, if you don't follow the Quran then you can't call yourself a Muslim. If you commit atrocities in the name of a religion that goes against it's core tenets then you aren't part of that religion, you're just misusing it for justification for your actions.

IS aren't representative of Islam, they just use it because it suits them and they can use it as a method of control. It's no different to the empires of old using religions to get conquered lands to bend a knee.

Mohammed himself created atrocities, he tortured and beheaded people.

I would love that to be true, but unfortunately its not backed up by polls and statistics. In Muslim countries, there is majority support for ISIS, in non muslim countries its as much as 30% support amongst the muslim communities. When you consider our 2 main political parties amassed support in the 30-40% it provides some perspective.

Its not nice reading I know

This has been addressed before hasn't it? demolition red on another thread provided evidence to the contrary to that majority claim, for which I see no evidence.
