Why do the singles nominees for the BRITs always miss out big tracks, replace them with irrelevant ones and even worse, shortlist songs by some artists who had better singles that year?

Anyway, Black Magic, Wish You Were Mine and King are the top three. But it'll be Hello

I always thought it was the 10 songs that either sold the most, or were played by Radio 1 the most? I'm not sure though, Jack
