Quand il pleut, il pleut
|
Wetherspoons has scrapped its traditional Sunday lunch roast dinner.
The pub chain announced the decision to drop the staple meal and concentrate instead on burgers and other traditional classics. The last roast dinners will be served in its branches on Mother’s Day on March 6. There are 950 Wetherspoons restaurants in the UK, and many customers were sad to hear roast dinners will disappear. The chain has removed its Sunday Club roast dinner section from its website. Wetherspoons has sold roasts for about 15 years, offering meal deals as low as £6.59. The Sunday roasts have been halted because they aren’t as popular as they used to be. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/wetherspoo...095047950.html |

...or..(if we were to be cynical..)...a way of getting full houses in all of them for Mother's Day roast lunch, as that's the last day planned for it and then...oh, we've changed our minds/back by popular demand...hmmmm, that would be good for their profits, eh...
