I think it's fairly clear that Gove stabbed Boris in the back over this and left him unable to stand. Terrible way to behave.

Yeah this is a ploy by Gove, not Boris. He didn't expect this and his close supporters are furious about it

He was definitely going to run and was arranging meetings and tapping up supporters to that end until today, there's been a huge amount of activity in the last few days geared towards setting up Boris' leadership bid and Gove himself has been a part of that until today. Listen to a lot of the MPs who had already declared for Boris in the last couple of days and they're furious

No matter what way you spin it the whole thing is so ****ing embarrassing. Silly little people playing silly little games while real futures hang in the balance. Totally ridiculous.
If this entire referendum has shown anything, it's that NONE of them (in Britain, in Europe, across the board) have any idea what they're doing. They're all just muddling along. Terrifying. |
