It must be a weather cycle... I saw the rain count and it is eerily similar to the 500yr rainfall we had in April. Had water to my foundation and we were minutes away from flooding but thankfully the rain let up. The neighbors down the road are still rebuilding.
They're very lucky. A lot of people get into trouble with driving cars through floods. The car stalls out and if you won't be able to open the door if you get caught in a current. The only way you can get out is to have a tool nearby to break the window, but you won't be able to roll down windows or open the door otherwise. This lady drove past a barricade to try to drive through water early morning. Someone from patrol or traffic went into the water but couldn't get to her. She didn't make it. They released the traffic cam video as a warning to others. |
