Conor McGregor has provoked retired boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. with an emoji depicting McGregor reigning supreme over Mayweather captioned ‘call me C.J Watson’.

Watson is currently a back-up point guard for the Orlando Magic in the NBA, but in 2010, it was understood that Watson had an intimate relationship with Josie Harris, the mother of three of Mayweather’s children.

In December 2011, Mayweather pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor battery domestic violence and no contest to two counts of harassment for hitting Harris, in which he was sentenced to 90 days in jail.

McGregor’s tweet comes just a matter of hours after Mayweather appeared on ESPN’s First Take claiming that the proposed fight between the two is being stalled due to McGregor’s refusal to accept the $15 million purse Mayweather has offered to him for his participation in the bout.

Speaking on First Take on Wednesday, Mayweather said:

“We tried to make the Conor McGregor fight. They know what my number is. A guaranteed a hundred million. We’re the A side. I don’t know how much money Conor McGregor has made. I’m pretty sure he’s never even made 10 million in an MMA bout.

“But we are willing to give him 15 million and then we can talk about splitting the percentage, the back end percentage on pay per view. But of course, we’re the A side. You know how can a guy talk about 20 or 30 million when he’s never even made 8 or 9 million?

“I’m saying right here on this show, Conor McGregor keeps telling everybody he wants the fight. Let’s make it happen.

“The only thing that I’m probably interested in, is probably the Conor McGregor fight. I’m a business man and it makes more business sense.”
