Can someone please tell the "black academics" that I don't mind that the song about Moses and the Jews in Egypt (Let My People Go) was adopted as a negro spiritual. We don't mind sharing.

Most songs have a connection to something, most have meaning and history, just like most words.

As long as that song isn't actually committing slavery, then what's the problem?
