Would you ever consider going abroad to have surgery? The cost for surgery abroad is minimal compared to England and the reviews of the hospitals are excellent.

My friend's grandfather who's 72 used to wear false teeth for decades, but about two years ago he went to Spain to have both sets of dentures, top and bottom, screwed into his gums.

Permanently.

I think it cost him around £5,000 - but would have cost him around £25,000 in UK.

They look very good though.

wow that's a bargain.

They advertise dental work in Budapest over here alot, organise travel arrangements and all that. Dental work is pricey here, my daughter just got braces put in and it's costing a fair bit

Maybe they used plastic teeth on him, instead of porcelain - and glued them in with superglue.

I had a tooth filling in Saigon, my £150 filling from the UK fell out after a couple of months. 3 years on and this one $10 filling from Vietnam is still in with not a single problem.

Yes, I didnt mean to have it done, I went into to get my teeth cleaned for like $1 and then they were like, oh we can fill that hole in for $10, i was a bit worried at first but then I figured it doesnt involve blood so I might as well give it a go.

I don't really see a reason why I wouldn't if I couldn't get the treatment I needed on the NHS.
