R&B star Brandy was recently hospitalised after collapsing on an aeroplane, reports Billboard.

The singer's publicist, Courtney Barnes, told the the publication: "Brandy has been released from the hospital and is now at home resting.

"She has been traveling extensively as part of an ongoing tour and several personal appearances. In recent days she has taken more than 10 long haul flights including internationally,"



Brandy, whose full name is Brandy Norwood, was due to fly to JFK airport in New York on Friday (June 2), but collapsed on the plane at Los Angeles' LAX airport before departure.

Fellow passengers noticed her fall and assisted her, before she was taken to a hospital. The singer was then released and will spend some time resting and recuperating.

A statement at the time said: "The stress of all of the traveling and working so incessantly has exhausted her.

"She will be relaxing for the next few days."
