Why is Raph just sitting there and listening to her deluded bull****? His passiveness is starting to irritate me deeply.
I understand it's his gameplan, but it's an annoying one. |

Their mission is to win the money...
When she speaks to Raph it's the pre-arranged 'speak to everyone in the house so we don't get accused of not mingling'. She of course will donate her precious time to Raph by warbling on about her very own self. Raph knows this and sensibly takes the line of least resistance (nodding and smiling). He won't agree necessarily but he knows how to handle neurotics. Her children were watching (in horror) over a small bread bag - obviously that was not considered when she was offering free porn to stay in... I think Raph is diplomatic rather than passive. A seldom seen skill in BB. |

I am finding Raph to be passive and calculating so far, even sneaky. Not a fan at all at this stage.
I agree that the Suhks are full of ****, but at least it's entertaining, I guess. When you are presented with an open goal of someone waffling on like that, like Raph was, and still just sit there like a nodding dog without challenging it I am not sure what value you have as a HM. |

But, no, the two choices are not start an argument and sit there like a wet tearag. Raph is just coming across as sly and calculating. Even a bit slimy in his effort to fence sit |

I do think Raph is playing a game, a clever game and is managing to be a nice person with it. That to me makes an interesting HM to watch. the loud, argumentative for the sake of it, foul mouthed ones who have to have an opinion on everything are the HMs i dislike but each to their own

The only time we've seen him talk out so far is in the Diary Room for nominations. He seemed more than confident and comfortable doing that so why is he so timid in the house?! In fact he was quite cutting in the Diary Room with nominations. We just haven't seen that side of him other than that. We need it more. |

I don't know him in r/l like Shaun and them do but any dealings with him I've had on the forum, he's been really pleasant and inoffensive, like we see him but I also think he has a game playing strategic side

I for one was shocked when I see how he was in the Diary Room. I prefered that Raph though for sure. If he brings that one into the house as well then he could go far. Not ao sure if he keeps hiding at the back, nodding and smiling. Last edited by snail69; 14-06-2017 at 10:27 AM. |

Raph is just applying a bit of real life interaction rather in your face, course, aggressive BB style. Its how normal humans interact. Can you imagine meeting someone in the street and mouthing off at people the way this bunch do? They wouldn't last 2 minutes without being decked

As bad as some of them have been I can't imagine them being like that in the real world. They just wouldn't have survived as long as they have otherwise and some of them are actually really succesful so it's not a great comparison really. |

It could win it for him, it has worked in the past, but it is a sly and slimy way to play the game in my eyes. I honestly haven't found a single thing he has said or done on his own merits interesting. Last edited by vesavius; 14-06-2017 at 10:59 AM. |

I don't mind game players like Aaron, infact i prefer them tbh, I think most non casual fans will see that they're playing a game of sorts and appreciate that as fans of BB. With Raph I think he is playing a game but he's also genuinely that type of person, naturally polite and respectful. You can be and do both, playing a game when you're in a game is not sneaky imo. I don't think he's being fake either, again i think you can play a game by being sensible with stuff but still be who you are

Oh, for sure, like I say, it'll probably serve him well. I tend to think of HMs in terms of how they entertain me though, not just if they win or not, and the sly fence sitter that plays the public has never been a type of HM that I enjoy.

And that's fair enough too, if we all enjoyed the same thing or viewed things the same way it would be boring especially on the forums

You're probably right and it's definitely influenced me, it would be silly to say otherwise but I do genuinely like that type of HM. You likened him to Aaron a post or so back and Aaron was my favourite that year and in my top 3 fav HMs of all time

These are just not the type of HM I personally enjoy. But... It's all stuff to talk about and debate, so all good I think. |
