Good advice, Sunny. I am already working on it.

Who would select the contestants and how: I would with the auditions process via PM
Who would give out tasks: any of the admin, mods or me would do so, but we all have to create all our ideas into one task
How would we know the decision making is fair if only one person is doing it: well the contestants would have agreed to the tough rules of the game, and this is what the show is about, plus I let them all know it is a game, plus the admin, mods and I will make a joint decision
How many threads will it take up: well, there will be a Boardroom (1), a Market Place (2), Discussion Thread (3) and the House (4), and one team will be taken to the house to scheme, whilst the other team plans in the market place
How easy/complicated will it be to follow: it will be fairly easy, because daily updates will be posted in the discussion thread to keep viewers on track, plus notices in the house either via post or via PM
How much time would contestants be expected to commit to the "show": about 3 to 4 hours per day, after 5.30pm
Who will set the rules of the "show" and what will they be: I will set the rules, and they include no copying from other teams, no sabotaging the other team in anyway, no contact with the outside world (discussion thread), no bullying, people would have to be online after 5.30pm

All sounds very good so far - I personally think that you need to recruit some other FM's to help with the decision making etc.. as Mods & Admin have plenty to do keeping up to date with the forum.

Thanks for your ideas and I again will discuss them in Admin area - as we are not going to have this until after BB I dont see any real rush and maybe we might even be able to come up with some other suggestions for you if we have the time to look at it closely

Default The Schedule

Here is a nice and easy schedule for this series. It can run during BB8, in a very sneaky way.
The series, which will start on the 13th July until 7th September (8 weeks), will only be on for 3 shows each week, Wednesday (the beginning of the task), Thursday (the task and nominations) and Friday (the firing and interview). Each of these 3 days will have all the action the public will need, from 5.30pm to 10.00pm each night.
As for "nominations", I have decided that when the task ends (Thursday 9.30pm), I will call al the candidates to the Boadroom, announce the winners and the losers, and afterwards, the Project Manager of the losing team must pick 2 other members who face the public vote with him or her, and until Friday at 8.30pm, the public vote for either 3 of them to fire.

It all sounds good but I doubt that you will be able to do this during BB. This site gets manic when its on and I'm not sure that Admin will alow it to be honest.

Edit: Plus having a show on the same night as eviction night will more than likely be a no no too

Hi Mathew - sadly you will not be able to run it during BB. We just will not have the time for it to run then.

It will have to be later in the year

OK. Maybe during either autumn or during winter.

Is it OK if I start auditions now please? So that everything is in place, and so when details of BB8 are released, I will close auditions and the series will start at a reasonable date.

Like we said Mathew can you please wait until after BB to do anything. If you run audtions now people may lose interest by end of summer and you would have to start all over again anyway and also there is new membership over the summer to consider.

Just wait out for now please

Default The Official Plans Revealed

Plans for the first ever series of The Apprentice at TiBB are now revealed:
  • Auditions will take place later this summer, throughout the whole of July
  • Out of the people who applied, 10 hopefuls will be picked by me for this series
  • It will last 5 weeks, starting from Friday 17th August to Friday 21st September, with all the action taking place 5 days a week on weekdays, at specific times.

That sounds like a great idea Matthew, but didnt the mods/admin say they were unhappy with just you picking the hopefuls?

Some of them say they agree though. I think it is fair though, because if the hopefuls are randomly selected, it wouldn't be The Apprentice, and would just be any other RTV show. Plus, others would complain, and say that a person may not be fit for the show just because of being randomly selected.
Besides, it won't get any harm, because I am sure that if people aren't picked, they will understand... hopefully...

I think that all firings (or most of them) should be done with a public vote, because I feel that I shouldn't take the responsibilty for kicking one person out.

So, for example, if a PM chooses 2 other people to go to the Boardroom, then all 3 of them face a public vote.

I think that sounds like a goof plan but I think some mods/admin wanted more than one person to vet the CV's maybe

OK. I was thinking of choosing 2 other people who will be my "aides", and they will also help choosing who should be on the show.
