The European Court of Human Rights has upheld Belgium's ban on Burkhas and full face veils stating it did not violate the rights to private and family life and freedom of religion, or discrimination laws. Sense at last. |

![]() I genuinely see the Burkha and such as no different to balaclavas/motorcycle helmets and that. Being that..in all places where security matters, they should be banned. Regardless of reasons for wearing them, whether they are forced on the women or if they are a choice. Its about security and safety ![]() Last edited by Vicky.; 12-07-2017 at 01:58 PM. |

![]() I think you might be horrified to discover, truth, that most Islamic regimes - and infact ISIS itself - are on the extreme right. I can't imagine how you balance that fact out in your reasoning. Cognitive dissonance, I would guess. "NO THEY ARE LEFTIES!!!" ![]() |

I hope they do the same here soon for all the reasons mentioned in the article.

I'm very glad about this. There is no historical reason for women to dress like this. In Iran as late as the 1970's, women wore western style clothes and showed their hair. It was only when the radical islamists took over in that country that women were forced to dress in full coverings.

I can see why Belgium did this. They have many problems with Islamic areas becoming a breeding ground for terrorists.
I'd like to see it over here too in anywhere where a balaclava or motorbike helmet would be banned or any job that deals with the public. |

well its time this country stop walking on eggshells, and do the right thing, the Burka and the Niqab belong in the dark ages, not the 21st century, I'm not saying that Muslim girls and women should run around the place wearing skimpy outfits and short skirts and hot pants, but they need to show there face, because it makes things less awkward for both people, in Saudi Arabia women are treated like children, they can't drive, and they have to be chaperoned everywhere they go, and they need to have male permission to see a doctor, and they can't sit or talk to the opposite sex, and they are covered from head too toe, even non-muslim women who work there are forced to abide to those rules, are the PC elite going to pander to a small group who want to impose that way of life on us, likely yes, it creeps in to are laws, but I do know that most women in this country would never let anyone tell them that they must cover there face and hair,
