Fighting the PC Culture

I'm not sure if this made it on UK television but it got a lot of attention here in the states. A detective was trying to get blood drawn from one of the patients at a hospital and a nurse knew the law and stood her ground. The detective was mad as hell at her and arrested her.

Guy has a temper, his voice is wobbling, you can tell he's going to snap long before he does. If anything, it's probably better that this happened now and he can be removed from the police force permanently, because on another day / in another situation this guy could easily have shot someone.

The voice of reason

as usual it is a reflection on that person and not on the police or the job they do

Of course but as with all institutes in power they should not close ranks and protect "the bad apples" it only makes the whole organisation look corrupt. It's not just the Police force mind you, the Catholic Church are certainly guilty of that and I think teachers are too, to a point.

The most recent thing was a mass grave of babies bodies found on the grounds of a mother and baby care home, the home closed in 1961 so it's historical in that way, but it was still more or less brushed under the carpet and ranks closed. Nothing will happen to that order of nuns who ran the place, infact they had "no comment" on it and that was it lol and they're still involved in running maternity hospitals here https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...age-in-ireland

What happened to - always obey the police? Surely she was asking for it ![]() Obviously this is crazy and the officer has rightfully been suspended

I believe that but would it not just be because there are far more children that go to school than children who go to church? and so more teachers than priests as well, rather than it being because teachers are more of a danger to children than priests.

I saw this yesterday...****ing idiot.
I didn't realise bhlood was classed as your property though...but this nurse was so right and I cant believe how much of a power trip the guy seems to be on. Suspension is not enough, he should never work in that job again. |

There's no defense for this, a massive abuse of power from both the officer in question and his supervisor. Hopefully the PD they come from won't close ranks to protect them, protecting officers that abuse their power only causes people to become more suspicious and averse to the police then they already are.

I think the stats have it proportionately, like, X out of Y got abused in school, as opposed to in a Church setting.
