I was just reading that they hate each other, Elton literally dispises her but who who is better?

For the Lion King soundtrack alone I vote Elton John

I rate Elton John as a songwriter but prefer others singing his songs than him.

Madonna is excellent all round so for me Madonna ahead by miles.
