People seem to think ther 's going to be loads of deaths but I doubt it. I can see hawkeye either dying or quitting... good chance Vision will die when the infinity stone is plucked from his head, though I'd say there's a chance his body / mind will survive but without his powers (he might end up basically human, so not dead but pretty useless as an avenger). There's a rumor that Stark loses an arm (based on some early artwork that shows an Iron Man suit with a huge cannon type gun where one arm should be) so he might retire / pass the Iron Man role to someone else. I highly doubt Thor will die, and there's also talk of a Black Widow standalone movie so she's probably safe. Ant Man has a scheduled movie so is safe, as is Spider-man, obviously, Sony would never allow the death of Spidey - their franchise has only just started! Black Panther 2 also announced. And I can't see any of the GotG dying either, especially as they're likely to make up the "lighter side" of the film.
We might lose some "sidekick characters" I guess. Cap... Is probably going to die, in a mirror of Coulson's death in the very first Avengers, with his death being the thing that rallies everyone to fight together. Bucky will take on the Captain America role but I would also NOT be at all surprised if Steve appears again somewhere further down the line (in a future single character movie or Avengers) and is not actually dead. One of the main theories is that (potential massive spoilers since it's pretty likely)

Got my tickets ready for Thursday with the Fiancé and If I enjoy it I may go again on Saturday with friends. Premiere was yesterday and first reactions are largely positive. 10 Years leading up to this, I’m so hype.

I kind of take back wanting her to come back to life, it'd kind of cheapen it if it were reversed. The ash-deaths were basically due to a spell, so them being reversed matters less...

Well her death was part of the story, it was a consequence of Thanos chasing his dream. It also had effects on other people, like the other Guardians. Starlord flipped out, and stopped his allies from being able to take the gauntlet.
The ash-deaths were the result of a "spell". If someone got the gauntlet, and used it to "undo everything it has done so far", the ash-deaths would be reversed, but Gamora's wouldn't, as she was killed physically, not magically. There's also the fact the ash deaths were more of a cliffhanger than a plotpoint, as we're wondering if/how they will be resolved for the next movie(s). Gamora's death was something to move the plot of this movie along. Last edited by Oliver_W; 03-05-2018 at 07:37 PM. |

I have never seen a Marvel film but went to watch this the other day and really enjoyed it.
Spoiler: I guess some other deaths would have stung if I knew them well enough, too. I am still not sure what was going on or understand why the guy with glove wanted people dead though...

I have a horrible feeling they might undo ALL of the deaths in Infinity War. But probably in the first half of Avengers 4 - with some real deaths coming in the "real" final confrontations. Also something else I noticed; basically all of the guardians who COULD fade, did fade? Not actually 50/50. The survivors were Rocket and Nebula but both would technically be immune... since Thanos' goal was to wipe out 50% of "human or humanoid" life. Rocket is technically a Raccoon / an animal, just an enhanced one... and as we saw earlier in the film, Nebula is so augmented that she's basically a machine rather than a humanoid. |

The Netflix series' are gonna have to acknowledge this or do some massive sidestepping...

Agents of Shield will probably do it, but it's traditionally stuck closer to the movie lore than Netflix. The fall of SHIELD in Winter Soldier totally changed the show [for the better], also it was revealed that Coulson was involved in restoring the helicarrier that serves as the lifeboat in Avengers 2, and they help with the cleanup after Thor trashes a town in Thor 2... Etc. Also I heard somewhere that Coulson is actually in Captain Marvel (as it will feature 90's-era SHIELD). Netflix tends to just be references, and quite vague ones at that. How are they going to get around this one? Last edited by Toy Soldier; 04-05-2018 at 06:55 AM. |

The Netflix shows has only ever acknowledged the first Avengers film, I don't think they'll touch on Infinity War at all, it'll just be a case that, like with what Agents of Shield probably, all the main characters were incredibly lucky
That or the Netflix shows take place before and after Infinity War so we don't see it's effects on the shows. |

I can't see Netflix being allowed to have any released this year set after Infinity War... because that would "spoiler" (even though we all know it'll happen) the fact that the world gets its 50% back in Avengers 4. So they'll have to be before... and there are at least 2 shows coming before Avengers 4 - Luke Cage in just a few weeks, and Iron Fist - plus the possibility of DD3 or Punisher 2. It'll be interesting to see where they go with it but I feel like it'll create more of a disconnect than there already is (which is a shame imo). For references... they don't do it often, but I'm sure one of the more recent ones (might have been Defenders?) had a throw-away comment about a "guy in a spider suit" or something like that . |

The Raft (The prison from Civil War) was a pretty big plot point in Jessica Jones S2

True; plus being asked "if she knows Captain America". Also, just the general idea that people have become used to "enhanced individuals" like Jessica and Luke Cage living amoungst them, which would likely be due to the Inhumans plotline of AoS (we won't talk about the actual Inhumans series... that didn't happen ).
