…also watched the first series of The Unforgotten….its not a new series and actually looks a little dated but was completely gripping in its storyline and constantly presenting another layer to the first story…I just couldn’t put it down once I started to watch that first series and I love the character of Cassie Stuart, the lead Detective in the cold case…

…a lot of the ending left a really sad/down feeling but then, there was so much darkness that had been hidden for lifetimes…and it was then continued in the legacy to the next generation…

One thing that annoyed me about the ending of S1 is

the priest should have been arrested for statutory rape of Joanna as she was 15 years old when he got her pregnant but they kind of brushed over that in the end

I'm about 3 episodes in to S2 now

if the Priest had offered the money to Joanna for an abortion then why did Jimmy need to borrow money for it too? Or maybe they were just guessing that's why he needed it?

…I just didn’t like the priest character at all or that part of the storyline…it wasn’t about an affair that he’d had years ago, she was a child…so there was a whole layer of wrongs that he was never accountable for…and from the beginning, it didn’t really show that he had grown very much as a person in his controlling and manipulative ways with his family…it felt like he was that exact same person that he’d obviously been all of those years ago…

…oh and with the ending….there was so much sadness in so many aspects of the Claire and Eric/family storyline …but when we saw her go into the care home…?….did it give an explanation for why her son was being cruel to her…was it because of what she’d done in killing the men …?…I felt as though I’d missed something that explained his behaviour specifically….which was mental cruelty…?…

…(…I think…)…I’m on episode 4 of the 2nd series, I’m totally addicted…my OH is watching as well actually because it’s not what I thought it was going to be, which was a real life unsolved thing…he’s also really addicted…as well as the actual case they’re working on, I like all of the other threads and layers of secrets of the past etc …the stories are like Rolling Stones that gather and gather so keep that intrigue and edge of the seat stuff not only going but becoming more and more…

…yeah, I thing that I might feel sad about is the mother’s possible involvement also…like an Epstein/Ghislaine Maxwell situation because she collected one of the girls from the party…I’m feeling sad for the son, I guess is what I mean…not the parents…he’s having to face who his real father was and if his mother as well…

Yeah i was thinking that too and why he lashed out at Cassie when she told his mom that his dad was a paedo, maybe his reaction was strong because somewhere it awakened that memory unconsciously?

Yes murder is bad blah blah blah but those people deserved to die and Marion, Sara and Colin had been punished enough. I do wish we got a little bit more about what happened with Colin though (and the others but I wanted to see if he got back with Simon and was able to keep Flo)

Looks like neither theory about Tessa was right, she wasn't a paedo or paedo accessory but also she didn't kill David. Just brushed it under the carpet.

…yeah, everything you’ve said …I loved that Jason was going to be ok and had met someone who loved him……with Colin…?…I’m going to think that he did get back with Simon and that they were able to keep Flo because the adoption lady said that if he was prosecuted then it wouldn’t happen …but obviously it was all let go and he wasn’t prosecuted…so I’m going to think that he and Simon became their family with Flo…just because I want to think that….

…they’ve both been excellent stories so far and both very emotional endings…
