So an academic has worked out that the average cost to complete the album (assuming no swaps) is £773. Anyone here collecting or have kids collecting? Does that figure put you off?

I am going for it for the first time in ages this year which might not be very wise considering the stickers are now 80p instead of 50p. Still though I think it's a bucket list thing to be able to say you completed a world cup album and they then become really valuable. Know a few people collecting to swap with as well. Probs still cost a load but then I spend money on lots of things that I don't necessarily need to

My son did it for the last Euros and it drove me mad. My Dad bought them for him but he never swapped any - got most of them but then we had bloody hundreds lying around the house that were , in is words, dupes (duplicates). Not bothering this time

You can also make your own Panini set too if you upload a picture they immortalise you as a pack of stickers for a fiver

I did the last two because a few of my friends did it but not doing it this year

I think I spent about 150 roughly each time then however much it took to send away for the rest...I don’t think I really swapped any with my friends either cause they live away

But yeah... you grow up and you/ those mates have better things to do with their money and time

Nah still the same. Thought they might increase it because a lot of sticker series are 60p now and they'd been 50p forever but didn't think it would go up by that much
