From that premiere, I actively like Angelina, Bi, Davie, Elizabeth, Jeremy, Jessica, John, Kara, Lyrsa, Mike and Natalie, which is... what, ten more than usual for me? Let's see how they manage to completely undo their good work next week!

perks of being an only child who lives at home is that your mother worries about EVERYTHING and when she found out that there was some blood when I wiped back in like February she freaked out and made me go see a gastroenterologist and then he did the deed and I passed out afterwards when he was talking about what I should do to treat my butt

I have a ~ting~ where any invasive medical procedures make me faint, even getting an ingrown toenail painlessly taken care of at the podiatrist.

(The latest medical woe in the Lightfoot household is that one of my bloodwork numbers came back like just a liiiiitle bit too high so my mother FREAKED OUT and talked to my primary care physician herself bc of my dad's medical history, then I had to go see a hematologist and get more tests done, everything came back fine, my mother was like "......I don't think she was thorough enough

", I then had to get two ultrasounds and those came back fine as well, but now that my urine sample had like a high number or something my mother is concerned I have a bladder infection! The fun never stops

)

But yeah as for Survivor..... I'll watch this weekend and post my #thots even though I already ****ing hate Jeff Probst all over again just from the last 20 minutes of the episode.

Not sure on the opening episode yet. It's good everyone had there moment but it still felt messy too me.

Obviously the edit wants us too root for David tribe. I think I am most disappointed with the sob stories as the one guy saying he lost his mother to drugs but the way they edited it made it seem like he was lying about it. I get they want to make him a villain but I really felt for him and no need for the evil music when he was opening up

Yeah to me he came across like he was lying even without the music though. I was kinda waiting for someone to have a confessional saying they didn't buy it

Working my way through the premiere and if this whole season is just going to be designed to get us to hate the PRIVILEGED and ENTITLED Goliaths then I might be out. This feels like some warped Channel 5 docuseries that gets advertised during the commercials of BBUK.

I say this as someone who likes Mike a decent amount but man is there a more grim sentence than his confessional that was basically "everyone is so preoccupied with their social game out here that they're not even aware that I'm looking for the HII!"

So the premiere actually ended up being okay! Everything on the boat just oozed what is wrong with modern Survivor (a challenge on the boat was cool though ngl), but then once they got to their camps it seemed like a complete answer to all the Ghost Island criticisms! Editors probably had an easier job than usual bc it was a 90 minute episode and there was no TC, but it was still nice to actually hear about these people's lives and begin to understand what makes them tick. Let's hope this holds up?

"the game started with a HUGE UPSET" yes I am still in shock that the David tribe won a RC that was designed so they could choose the easiest path to victory
