I would say because the comment wasn’t so much about the wedding as it was an insinuation of racism by a ‘right wing’ Christian party. It is very much a case of Pot and kettle in my opinion.

There is nothing politically correct about listing reasons why you dislike the royal wedding, especially if you’re gonna insult people as you list them. its literally closer to the complete opposite of political correctness (political incorrectness?).
