Ketchup

Sugar in cereal is well documented there are still alot of things that sneak though, then if you go for the low sugar option you end up with sweetners which are even worse for your health

Just drink water I think

That saliva chops Jamie Oliver has made everyone paranoid. I take no notice of him.

It's more to do with lack of exercise and self control, than the amount of sugar in products.

Yeah there's sugar in a lot of things It's a mess . But the sweeties are no shock ,we all know how bad they are for your teeth.

The sneaky one is all those bottle drinks in shops that try to trick you into thinking they're healthy ,but when you look closely it's actually full of sugar when you look at the amount as well in grams

Even fizzy drinks have less than some of these fruit juices and those smoothies in bottles are a joke they're more like treacle , the healthiest thing you can drink is plain water or homemade smoothie with real fruit.

There is actually a low sugar ketchup out there ,you can't avoid sugar entirely .

This definitely makes you more wary and makes you think twice about the food and drinks we consume.

The traffic light calories are supposed to be on all cereals as well , there was a program on telly a few weeks ago about trying to get that recognised .

When people see the colour chart of how much FAT ,SALT & SUGAR there is in the product it makes them more aware as it's literally written out in bold letters and colours .

Usually RED is bad and GREEN comes after then YELLOW is the least .

I'm not keen on sweets so I'm lucky that way, can't stand those jelly sweets either like Haribo, and cola bottles etc,I like chocolate now and again but don't eat a lot,but the sugar in sauces is quite an eye opener and cereals, got to be so watchful on what we eat.

Sugar content in food is really important to me because i suffer from hypoglycemia and get lbs attacks (im not diabetic its unrelated) but lucozade and jellybabies have saved my ass quite a few times when an attack comes on unexpectedly.

Stuff thats marketed as 'no added sugar' can actually be worse for you than the full sugar items.

The phrase "no added sugar" is designed only to fool people into thinking something is healthy when it could be far from it. The phrase should be banned from description on food. The colour coding system is a good idea as it at least means people can quickly identify if something is not good for you.

The simple answer of course is to always use fresh produce. Anything pre-prepared is highly likely to contain something not necessary for nourishment. Similarly, in restaurants, everything they serve is pre-seasoned and always contains way too much salt and sugar.

Thats really not the way insulin related illnesses works though, its more to do with how an undividuals body deals with insulin Infact with mine, doing more exercise than I normally would do per day can actually trigger an attack.

I do agree that moderation is key with what we take into our bodies though.
