There are reporting restrictions on most trials that involve sensitive information or minors or where there's a chance of the jury being heavily influenced by the media. THANKFULLY, for the time being, logical legal process still seems to trump "public outrage and fist shaking" when it comes to policy. I fear that'll probably change eventually, though.

Yup, Anybody that thinks he was arrested because of his views on muslims are simply uninformed. His actions threatened the trial itself and justice for the victims and just so he could spout crap that is already out there. He was saying nothing new.

No, his appeal did. British public played no part in it whatsoever. The mob-like protests achieved nothing.

They swayed the judge, public opinion often does.

It would be a sad day for British Justice if wilful misinformation could sway a judge's opinion but thankfully that's not the case.

Everybody that's clinging to the idea that Robinson is some sort of victimised hero in this story are clinging to a false narrative.

Too many people in this world are willing to believe fairy tales over the truth just as long as they like the story they're hearing.

no, the judge looked at the legal basis for the decision and overturned it and gave reasons why. That's the power that appeal courts have, it's why they are there

I wonder if the person taking that picture will face charges for "breach of the peace"
