Default If you go to the bog in a bar and come back to your drink being stolen.

I was out in london on saturday and was chatting to the bar man as I stood at the bar with my two cocktails...I left them right by him and told him I'm off to the bog...when I got back only one was left. ...I kicked up such a fuss and threatened to get the police if my drink wasn't replaced...they replaced it after a small argument....was I in the right...oh..and by the way, next time I went to the toilet I found my drink on a table at the bottom of the stairs..

So was I entitled to a replacement.

No that’s dumb, don’t leave your drinks unattended, if you had been spiked would that have been the Barman’s fault too?

What was I supposed to do, take them and sit them on the cistern why I whizzed...I don't think so...I left them on the bar with a nod at the barman..that should be enough.

would you have left your wallet on the bar with a nod to the barman and expected it to be there when you got back?

is the barman expected to stop serving other customers and focus his attention on your drink?

It was a two for one deal do of course I'm going to drink two..I was also bloated by pints by this time and with a bottle of fruit cider costing 1 pound more than 2 cocktails...I went for the cocktails..and yes i was alone and of course I wouldn't leave my wallet on the bar...or a table...or anywhere else it should be OK to leave a drink.

on this occasion, I think you were lucky to get a replacement, if its a quiet bar and the person behind it agrees to look after your drink, fair enough, but even then they could be distracted, but in a busy bar leaving drinks unattended is asking for trouble, anyone could have put anything into them, so having one taken might have been the least of your problems next time go to the toilet before you invest in two cocktails.

Old school is, tell the barman to put these behind the bar for me as I’m going to the loo.

That way it’s clear what you want done and no one can take them, spike them.

When I was out on the pull, if there was two girls together, I would ask do you come as a pair or can you be separated.

I'm at an age that when I need to go, I need to go...6 pints don't help either.

I got the drink replaced so i must have been in the right.

Always spit in your own drink Parmy, that way if it gets nicked, at least you have the satisfaction of knowing some dick is drinking your drink with spit in it

I would say people having to much drink are more dangerous to themselves that other people doing them harm.

It’s not but a bar person has to put up with more crap than keeping an eye on a drink for two shakes of a dick.
