...so this is the face of independence then, is it Arista...if you don’t like what we do or what we say, even though we are meant to be your serving government ...you can just bugger off...that’s an excellent plan for making Britain great again...all those in favour of, have a cup of tea and a digestive...all those against...bugger off...

i've never really understood the purpose of resigning over a matter of principle in a democratic institution. It may provide 5 minutes of fame, but the underlying result is that they are enabling those that they disagree with

...I don’t see it so much about any fame but more about not wanting to be a part of something you don’t believe in, I can completely relate to that...because it would jar with too much of who you were in your principles...and make you feel as though you had lost who you are...

...he’s not able to prevent anything that’s happening atm though...it wouldn’t be energy well spent to stay, it would be pointless...he doesn’t need to ‘fight’ for his principles in that way, he owns them/they belong to him...he doesn’t need to be part of something he has no belief in...
