it's a fine song but the chart system is so inherently broken at the moment that everything stays on the chart for half a year, minimum, and it becomes infuriating.

This only really used to happen once a year with songs like Gnarls Barkley, Umbrella, I Will Always Love You, Everything I Do (I Do It For You) etc, but now there's 5 or 6 that just share the "number one single" prize for the whole year because nobody can be arsed to listen to anything new on Spotify.

To be fair to Tones though, this song has been topping both the pure sales and streaming charts for months now, it's not like a Drake situation where it only gets 300 downloads but is the #1 song of the year

I'm just happy a female pop song is gaining this level of success again
